In a major setback for megastar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, a Mumbai court on Friday rejected his bail plea, and of two others who were among the 8 arrested accused in the raid on an alleged rave party on a luxury cruise ship.

The move follows a Twitter storm over the online learning company continuing to use Shah Rukh at a time when his son Aryan Khan has been remanded in judicial custody for alleged drug use. An email sent to Byju’s did not elicit a response till the time of going to press.

According to India Today, a source revealed that soon after Aryan’s arrest, SRK sought legal advice, reaching out to several experts in the country and advocate Satish Maneshinde had assured the superstar that Aryan would be out soon.

According to a report, a Delhi based lawyer has filed a complaint before the Delhi police after asking to register an FIR against former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti for her recent reaction on the ongoing drug case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

Advocate Amit Desai representing Aryan Khan had asked that his bail application hearing be scheduled for Wednesday. In reply, Special prosecutor Sethna from NCB's side has said, “As per Desai's submissions, his matter deserves priority. The other matters, their quantities are different. It will not be humanely possible for us to file replies to all applications. Let the matters start from the first produced.”
