A man was detained in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur city for allegedly making a bomb threat call to the Mumbai police. The caller, who identified himself as `Jitesh Thakur', claimed that he was from the army and informed them that there will be an attack in Mumbai with "nuclear bomb" at various places including the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and an area near Shah Rukh Khan's house. The call prompted a city-wide search, but nothing suspicious was found.

Thalapathy Vijay

The Tamil Nadu Police were sent into overdrive last November when a caller claimed that a bomb was planted at the actor's residence in Neelankarai. An anonymous call was made to the Police's Control Room and the caller was identified as S Bhuvaneshwaran from Villupuram district. After a bomb squad and sniffer dogs were deployed to search the area, it was reported to be nothing more than a hoax. The man in question was said to be a mentally unstable person, who previously threatened to bomb the houses of actors Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar, Edappadi K Palaniswamy and Chief Minister M K Stalin.

Last August, the Mumbai police deployed their forces at four prominent locations in the city after receiving an anonymous call about bombs being placed. Security was beefed up around Amitabh Bachchan's house and three railway stations in Mumbai that were said to be targeted for a series of bombings in the city. Even though "nothing suspicious" was found in the areas, security forces were deployed there. Later, three drivers \were arrested for making the hoax call.

Salman Khan

Back in 2019, Salman Khan's family was evacuated from their Galaxy Apartment flat after the police received an email claiming that a bomb was set to go off. "Bandra me Galaxy, Salman Khan ke ghar par agle 2 ghante me blast hoga, rok sakte ho to rok lo (In the next two hours a blast will take place at Galaxy, Salman Khan's house, stop it if you can)," an official said, quoting the mail. A 16-year-old boy from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh was later booked for the same.
