Shah Rukh Khan's wife, Gauri Khan, rents a ₹1.35 Lakh 2 BHK apartment for staff in Mumbai amid Mannat's renovation- Report
For Shah Rukh Khan and Guari Khan, Mannat has never been just a house, it's their haven built with love, emotions, and years of memories. As this lavish sea-facing bungalow of one of Bollywood's most beloved couples is undergoing renovation, the family has temporarily relocated to a luxurious duplex in the Puja Casa building. Amid this, reports are now circulating that Gauri has rented a 2 BHK apartment in Mumbai for their staff.
Gauri Khan, who is also a dignified name in the interior design industry, has rented the property for her staff at a starting monthly rent of ₹1.35 lakh, as per documents accessed by Zapkey. According to the documents, a three-year leave and license agreement has been signed, which allows the property for residential use from April 10, 2025, to April 9, 2028.
Spanning over 725 sq ft, the apartment rented by Gauri Khan is situated in Pali Hill, Pankaj Premises Cooperative Society Ltd. It includes a hall, kitchen, two bedrooms, and two washrooms.
According to a Hindustan Times report, a security deposit of ₹4.05 lakh was paid, and the agreement, which includes an escalation clause of 5% every year, was registered on May 14, 2025.
It would not be wrong to say that he put i his blood and sweat into Mannat. Both Shah Rukh and Guari put their heart into the house. Did you know Gauri came on board to design their house, and the whole story was shared by Shah Rukh during the same event. He revealed, “So how do we do this house now? We bought it. What do we do with this? And then the only person to turn was, I said, listen Gauri, you have little artistic talent. Why don't you become the designer of the house? So, actually Mannat started like that. So, whatever little money we earned over the years, we kept on buying small things. I remember, we had gone down once even to South Africa, I think. And we had little money, and we bought the leather for the sofa and that we'll put it on. And the time when you traveled abroad (turning to Gauri), I think you got 100 pounds or some amount of money that you were allowed to carry from India. So it was taken only to buy a decorative piece. So it took us a while. And I think that training ground is what actually made her start designing."
Regarding his next film, Shah Rukh Khan is set to star in an action film titled 'King', directed by Siddharth Anand. The shooting for King is planned to begin in June 2025, with a release expected by the end of 2026. This film will feature Shah Rukh Khan sharing screen space with his daughter Suhana Khan.

Speaking of Mannat, one of the most iconic real estate properties, it holds an emotional worth for Khan. In 2023, during the book launch of his wife Gauri Khan, when Shah Rukh was asked to elaborate how he made Mannat his home, the actor said, “When we bought the house we live in now, it was way beyond our means. Being from Delhi, one was used to living in bungalows. One did not realize that Mumbai has a whole system where apartments are even more expensive and bigger, but we are not used to it.”It would not be wrong to say that he put i his blood and sweat into Mannat.
