Sharmin Segal calls her ‘Heeramandi’ co-star Aditi Rao Hydari ‘school girl’ for her punctuality
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest web series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ has been the talk of the town, ever since its release. While the series and the performances of the actors are receiving rave reviews, a section of the audience weren’t happy with Sharmin Segal’s casting. Sharmin Segal, who is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece, received criticism for her performance, and her recent statements have also put her under the spotlight.
Amidst the criticism, a video of Sharmin calling her co-star Aditi Rao Hydari a ‘school girl’ as the latter is punctual has also taken the internet by storm. In an interview with IMDB, Sharmin took a playful dig at Aditi. She stated that Aditi is like a student who does exactly what is asked by the teacher. Speaking of Aditi’s arrival on sets, Sharmin stated that because of her punctuality, everyone appeared to be late!
"Teacher will say you have to submit your homework at this time and Aditi will do exactly that and not one more word than the word count limit. That is Aditi for you. So, according to her everyone is late and she is on time,” Sharmin said.
Sharmin’s ‘Heeramandi’ co-stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Taaha Shah, Fardeen Khan, Richa Chadha, and Sanjeeda Sheikh were also present at the interview,
