Former Bharatiya Janata Party minister Shatrughan Sinha on Monday at the venue of the 47th International Film Festival of India said that he remained in his hotel room in Goa for three days, waiting for the festival authorities to invite him at IFFI. Sinha has drawn attention in recent months for his statements which are seen to go against the BJP government at the centre.

"I have been here since the last three days at my hotel waiting to be called.

I have not been given the festival kit or even the schedule. The festival is ending now. It is too late," said Sinha after his 'In Conversation' session at IFFI.
During the session too, Sinha said that there had been confusion on whether IFFI or Entertainment Society of Goa has invited him. "It is fine. I have not complains and no expectations", he said.
Sinha later tried to downplay the events saying that he was joking.
