Shefali Jariwala's friend Pooja Ghai reveals her final moments: 'She still had a pulse but her eyes were not opening'
The heartbreaking demise of actor and model Shefali Jariwala on June 27, at the age of 42, has left her family and friends deeply saddened. The actress, known for her famous song Kaanta Laga, was reportedly found motionless in her residence due to cardiac arrest. Her close friend and industry colleague Pooja Ghai opened up about the demise.

In a conversation with Vickey Lalwani, Pooja shared details about what reportedly happened in the hours leading up to Shefali’s death. She opened up about her conversation with Shefali’s husband, actor Parag Tyagi. He told her that there was a puja at home and the home was decorated for that ceremony when she arrived to pay her last visit to Shefali.

Pooja said, “In fact, the next day when we were allowed to enter the home to bring Shefali for the last rites, I realised that the whole house was decorated for puja. So there was a Satyanarayan ki puja at home and they did a beautiful puja setup at home.”
Shefali had dinner and asked her husband to take their elderly dog for a walk. “And the moment he went down, apparently he was called. The helper at home called him and said, ‘Didi is not feeling well.’ So, she told him, ‘Could you just come up, take care of me?’” Pooja added.

Parag took her to the hospitalParag asked the helper to come down to take the dog for a walk so that he could go upstairs and look after Shefali.
According to Pooja, Parag waited by the lift and handed over the dog to the helper before going to check on Shefali. “Parag said that she still had a pulse. And her eyes were not opening and she just had dead weight to her body. So he immediately must have realised that something was definitely wrong. And he took her to the hospital… before she was brought in at Bellevue, she was already no more,” she stated. Meanwhile, in an interview, Shefali’s close friend and actor Pooja Ghai revealed that Shefali had taken a vitamin C IV drip on the day of her passing.
Shefali’s last rites took place at Oshiwara Hindu crematorium, attended by her family and close friends.
