Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat, Swanand Kirkire's Three of Us to close Himalayan Film Festival

Three of Us, a relationship drama set in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, will be the closing film of the Himalayan Film Festival. Directed by Avinash Arun, it stars Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat, and actor-lyricist Swanand Kirkire in lead roles.

Last year, the film premiered at the IFFI, where the cast had discussed the film.

Shefali said at the festival,"It was filmed in the picturesque region of Konkan. Our shooting days were incredibly long as the idea was to capture morning light. Our first shot typically commenced at 5.30 in the morning, but every location we filmed at was simply exquisite. This film looks like for Konkoni tourism film."She had described her character, Shaileja, in this movie as exceptionally fragile and vulnerable, and had said that is the beauty of this woman.

The director, Avinash Arun, said at IFFI, "I spent 3-4 years of my childhood in Konkan, and I had my first interaction with nature there. I've always tried to find the child in me through my films, especially this one, as I am attached to this region from my childhood.I made this film eight years after I directed the Marathi film 'Killa'."

In May, Shefali Shah and Jaideep Ahlawat won the best actress and actor awards respectively for Three of Us, which was the opening film of the New York Indian Film Festival.
