Family support in Hyderabad

In conversation with NDTV, Shilpa cleared the air about rumours that Mahesh Babu and Namrata were unhappy with her joining Bigg Boss 18. She said it wasn’t true and added that when she got the show’s offer, she was in Hyderabad with her sister, who was even more excited than her that she was following her passion.

Rumours about gossip and social media

The actress also called the rumours completely untrue, saying people love to gossip and form opinions just based on social media. She said her family isn’t like that and doesn’t focus on online posts. She added she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation, and her husband, daughter, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece are all proud of her.

Not about money, it’s about passion

When asked if money was her reason for joining the reality show, Shilpa denied it outright. She said many assume only those struggling for work take part, but for her, it was about following her passion and seeing what the experience would bring.
She further shared that she’s always been a Bigg Boss fan and has watched every season. Her family cheered her on to join, and when the offer finally came, she knew she couldn’t pass it up. She added that while money and fame came along, she only realized the show’s true impact after leaving.
