Charley Hull is enjoying her time at the Kroger Queen City Championship. On Friday, September 13, 2024, at TPC River’s Bend in Ohio, the English golfer finished her second round and later spoke to the press. She said she never feels like golf is a job. For Hull, being on the course is about love for the game, not pressure. She also shared she is playing through some ankle pain but is happy to be competing and chasing birdies.

In the press conference, Charley Hull made it clear how much she loves golf. She said, “I love it. I just love being on the golf course. I just enjoy playing golf … It’s not a chore to me. It’s not work.”
Hull then told a story about an ankle injury. She explained that when she fell, she heard a pop and thought it was broken. After getting an MRI, doctors confirmed she had torn it. Hull admitted the ankle still hurts, especially because this is her second straight week on tour. Still, she said she is pushing forward and keeping her focus on the tournament.

Charley Hull on her round and weekend outlook

Charley Hull also talked about how she played in the second round. She said she stayed steady from the start, hit the ball well, and made good putts. She pointed out that the course has many birdie chances but also tricky holes.
Her approach is to stay patient and aggressive when needed. She summed it up: “You just got to be patient and be aggressive at the same time and just hole some putts.”Having finished second last week in Houston, Hull is heading into this tournament with good form. She even joked about her dinner plans, saying salmon with sweet potatoes and asparagus would taste better after a good round.
