Shreya Dhanwanthary, Abhimanyu Dassani and Amol Parashar are staying in Bhopal and not coming back for another 30 days - Exclusive
In November 2022, Lionsgate India Studios on Tuesday announced its second film 'Nausikhiye', starring Abhimanyu Dassani (Bhagyashree's son), Shreya Dhanwanthary and Amol Parashar, to be directed by Santosh Singh and produced by Ellipsis Entertainment (Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar).
'Nausikhiye' is a story of two wedding crashers who accidentally steal a bride, triggering a zany cat-and-mouse chase across the countryside. The film has been penned by Chirag Garg and Avinash Dwivedi.
ETimes now has it FIRST and EXCLUSIVE that the film has gone on floors. The shoot is happening in Bhopal. "It's largely going to be shot in Bhopal," says a source.
"The cast and crew shall stay in Bhopal for another 28-30 days. Don't expect them to be in Mumbai before end-March," the source adds.
ETimes also has it here that the long Bhopal schedule will be followed by a short schedule in Mumbai.
The announcement in November had come with a lot of effervescence. "We’re sure that this film, helmed by Santosh Singh and a stellar cast, is going to be a full-house entertainer and will be one of the many successful stories produced by the Lionsgate India Studios," Rohit Jain, MD, Emerging Markets Asia, Lionsgate, had said.
Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar had said, "This is our first out-and-out comedy, which promises to travel across geographies and age groups. We look forward to regaling the audience with a fun, unpretentious comedy, which is going to be a riot to shoot."
