"Sivanar is a part of the 14th-century Saint Poet Arunagirinathar's anthology, Thiruppugazh. There are approximately 1,300 pieces in this anthology, all in Tamizh and on Lord Muruga," Sid explains. "Releasing the teaser for Sivanar is special on this day as the opening lines of the piece expound on how Lord Siva was exhilarated when his son Lord Muruga explained the sacred mantra (Om) in his ears."

Sid's personal connection to Sivanat dates back to his childhood. "I first learned 'Sivanar' from my mother and guru, Latha Sriram, when I was around 10 years old. It's lived within the core of who I am for so long now and it feels like home." The song has become an integral part of Sid's performances, serving as a nostalgic reminder of his roots. "In the last couple of years, I've been touring the world a lot and playing big stages like Coachella. I've ended every set with this piece, and in a way, it's my way of coming back home at the end of each journey."

The visual for "Sivanar" was shot in the revered Batu Caves Murugan Temple in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on the auspicious day of Thaipusam. Sid recounts the experience, saying, "This temple is so deeply charged with spirituality and devotion, and this energy is intensely present on Thaipusam with over a million devotees coming to the temple to pray. Shooting the visual for this piece gave this song another layer of importance and magnitude."
Sid has crooned the chartbuster tracks Srivalli and Kesariya in Pushpa and Brahamstra.
