Sonam K Ahuja says she and sister Rhea Kapoor were bullied while making 'Aisha'
Sonam K Ahuja’s film, ‘Aisha’ completed 11 years recently. Directed by Rajshree Ojha, it was said to be inspired by Jane Austen’s popular classic novel ‘Emma’. The chic flick starred Sonam, Amrita Puri, Ira Dubey, Lisa haydon, Abhay Deol and Cyrus Sahukar, and was known for being high on style. To celebrate the film’s 11th anniversary, Sonam participated in an online session in which she revealed that while she had no regrets about doing the film, she and her sister, Rhea Kapoor were bullied while the film was being made.
Sonam said, “As women, we don’t realise that there is more power in numbers. The way my sister (Rhea) and I were bullied through the process of making the film by some of the men in the industry made us realise when there are more of you together, it’s easier to stand up to things and give each other strength. So that is the one thing that was a takeaway from Aisha that I always knew my sister was my best friend”
