Sonu Sood reveals Salman Khan secretly tried to spike his drink - Deets inside

Actor Sonu Sood, who is well-known for his commitment to fitness and a healthy lifestyle, recently shared an amusing anecdote from his time in the film industry.


In a candid interview with Jist, Sonu opened up about how his close friend and co-actor Salman Khan once secretly spiked his drink in an attempt to get him to try alcohol.


Sonu, who is currently promoting his upcoming action-thriller 'Fateh,' has always been vocal about his dedication to maintaining a healthy diet and fitness routine. The actor revealed that despite being surrounded by many people who enjoy alcohol, he has never been tempted to drink. In fact, Sonu shared that he has never tasted alcohol in his life, and Salman Khan tried several times to get him to break his no-alcohol stance.


Recalling a memorable moment, Sonu said, “I don’t drink at all. Many co-stars have tried to make me try alcohol, and Salman bhai was particularly keen on it. He used to say, ‘Ek kaam kar, zara Red Bull ke andar daal ke laa thodi.’” According to Sonu, Salman would slyly hand him a glass with alcohol mixed in an energy drink, hoping he would drink it, but the actor always managed to avoid it.


Sonu mentioned that Salman’s efforts to make him drink were a reflection of his own love for alcohol, stating, “When someone has a hobby of drinking, they like others to drink as well, which is fine. But, I never felt like it. I’ve always been consistent in my choice not to drink.”


During the same conversation, Sonu also shared insights into his vegetarian diet and fitness regimen. He revealed that his daily meals are simple and nutritious, often consisting of dishes like dal and rice, egg-white omelets, salads, and sautéed vegetables. Though he occasionally enjoys makki ki roti, Sonu emphasized the importance of consistency in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
