Sooraj Barjatya lauds Aditya Dhar's ‘Dhurandhar’, labels Ranveer Singh starrar as Perfect picture after 'Sholay''

Since its debut, Aditya Dhar's ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has garnered widespread critical praise. It's smashed numerous box office benchmarks and maintains its blockbuster streak. Amid this success, Sooraj Barjatya commended Aditya, dubbing the film the "perfect picture after Sholay."

Speaking to SCREEN, Sooraj praised ‘Dhurandhar’ as an outstanding blockbuster, noting that despite lacking a family focus, he thoroughly enjoyed it. He remarked, “As a filmmaker, whatever’s good is good. I think Dhurandhar is a perfect picture after Sholay. Every character is so well done. Hats off to Aditya.” Additionally, he shared his fondness for ‘Saiyaara’ and voiced delight for Aditya Chopra and Mohit Suri at its launch.




He added, "All subjects should get made but this type of content is very important, so that we can tell the younger generation to trust, hope, and support each other, otherwise we’re all getting divided. Why should there be any loneliness?”

Aditya Dhar's two-part film ‘Dhurandhar’ stars Ranveer Singh in the lead, alongside R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, and others in pivotal roles. The first installment follows Hamza, an Indian spy portrayed by Ranveer, as he infiltrates gangs in Pakistan's Lyari to dismantle a terror network aimed at India.
