SRK draws inspiration from Vikram Rathore in 'Jawan'; says, 'I am 58 now, and I feel I should do age-centric roles'

Bollywood's King Khan expressed a desire to embrace roles aligned with his age, drawing inspiration from his character Vikram Rathore in the film "Jawan." The celebrated actor's candid remarks shed light on his pursuit of authenticity and a shift towards portraying characters that align with his current stage in life.

In an interview with Box Office World, SRK cited his character Vikram Rathore from the commercially successful "Jawan" as a reference point for his aspirations to act in roles reflective of his age. Khan emphasized that the character of Vikram Rathod was portrayed in an exaggerated manner, akin to an 'in-your-face' depiction of an older individual.

Srk said, "I am 58 now, and I feel I should do age-centric roles now. Jawan was more like a commercial, 'in-your-face' kind of character. I won't call it a caricature, but it was an over-the-top old person."

Drawing parallels between Vikram Rathore and his recent role in Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki," Shah Rukh Khan emphasized his commitment to realism in his portrayal. The actor remarked that while "Jawan" featured a more exaggerated representation of an older persona, his character in "Dunki" mirrors a more genuine and relatable depiction of aging, marking a significant departure from his previous ventures.

Meanwhile, Srk is on his hat-trick success this year as his recently released comedy drama film 'Dunki' is getting good reviews from all over. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, 'Dunki' also features the actors Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, and many others.
