The much-awaited sequel to Amar Kaushik's 2018 blockbuster 'Stree' is slated for release on August 15, aligning with India's Independence Day celebrations. Titled 'Stree 2,' the film features Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in leading roles and has created a lot of excitement among fans. Audiences are keenly anticipating the continuation of the mysterious events in the haunted town of Chanderi and are particularly curious about the return of Shraddha's intriguing character.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the official trailer for ‘Stree 2’ will be released on July 18. While the teaser, which was released in June, kept the plot details under wraps, the upcoming trailer is expected to delve deeper into the storyline and provide more insights into what audiences can expect from the sequel. The trailer will also be featured alongside the theatrical release of ‘Bad Newz,’ starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, which is set to release on July 19.


The teaser for ‘Stree 2’ was shared by the makers on June 25, giving fans a brief but tantalizing glimpse into the film. The teaser opens with the inauguration of Stree's idol in Chanderi, with the text ‘O Stree Raksha Karna’ prominently displayed. It also showcases glimpses of Rajkummar Rao reprising his role as Vicky Parashar, alongside his loyal friends Bittu and Jana, played by Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. Shraddha Kapoor's intense look in the teaser has only heightened the anticipation for her character's return. Additionally, the teaser features Pankaj Tripathi and hints at special appearances by Varun Dhawan and Tamannaah Bhatia, adding to the excitement.


‘Stree 2’ is set to continue the franchise's successful mix of horror and comedy that has won over audiences.
