Suniel Shetty says there's no Shyam in 'Hera Pheri' without Paresh Rawal’s Babu Bhaiya and Akshay Kumar's Raju: 'The film won't work'

Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty’s upcoming movie 'Kesari Veer' is all set to hit the screens on May 23, and the actor is currently busy promoting his films. The 'Hera Pheri' actor has now spoken about the ongoing buzz surrounding 'Hera Pheri 3' and shared how comfortable he felt sharing the screen with his co-stars in the film.

In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Suniel shared what truly motivates him to be part of the film. The actor loves the characters and finds it exciting to work in a multi-starrer. “Where do you get to play such kinds of characters? How often do such characters come to you? Very rare,” he added.

He reflected on his experience in landmark films like 'Border' and 'Hera Pheri', explaining how such stories rely on each character’s presence to make an impact. “For me, I was a part of Border, but everybody got an equal amount of love and adulation, and till today we live on those characters. When it comes to Hera Pheri, if it wasn’t for Babu Bhai (Paresh Rawal) and Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty) wouldn’t exist—he has no meaning. You take any one of them out, and the film doesn’t work,” he stated.

However, Paresh Rawal has reportedly exited the franchise due to creative disagreements.

Suniel further spoke about his role in the upcoming film 'Kesari Veer'. He was drawn to the depth of his character, who supports a noble leader and Suraj’s character. He believes such roles are rare, and regardless of whether the film succeeds or not, giving his best as an actor is what truly matters to him.

On the work front, Suniel will next be seen in 'Welcome to the Jungle', alongside Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. 'Hera Pheri 3', directed by Priyadarshan, is also one of his upcoming projects.
