Sunita Ahuja reveals Govinda's reaction about affair rumours: 'He told me...'

Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood icon Govinda, has been opening up like never before about navigating fame and scandalous rumours, all while being one of the most talked-about couples in the film industry. In a candid conversation, Sunita opened up about her spiritual grounding and the challenges she faced when confronted with gossip surrounding Govinda’s alleged affairs in the 90s and early 2000s.

Sharing her deep connection to spirituality, Sunita revealed how religious rituals have become a core part of her daily routine. “I learned how to do pooja-paath from my mother-in-law and my own mother,” she said. “It brings me peace—I really enjoy it. It keeps me centred.”


When asked how she handled the wave of speculation about Govinda’s personal life during his shooting schedules, Sunita recalled confronting him directly.
“We were like friends,” she said. “I used to ask him straight, ‘Tera affair chal raha hai kya iske saath? It’s in the papers!’”
Govinda’s response? “‘Bakwas kar rahi hai kya? I’m on a shoot. Stop reading the papers. I finish shooting and come straight home. If the media doesn’t write these things, how will the papers sell?’” she quoted him saying.
