Sunny Deol celebrates Army Day with soldiers, honoring their courage and sacrifice

On Army Day today, Sunny Deol spent time with some soldiers, recognizing their courage and dedication as "heroes." He shared videos and pictures on Instagram, including a clip where he and the soldiers chant "Bharat Mata Ki Jai." Other photos showed him posing and playing games with them.

While sharing the pictures, he captioned the post, “Then,Now and Forever Saluting the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of our heroes. Happy Indian Army Day! #HindustanZindabad #ArmyDay."



Army Day is celebrated on January 15 each year in India to honor Lieutenant General Kodandera M. Cariappa, the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army, who took over in 1949. He succeeded General Francis Roy Bucher, the last British Commander-in-Chief. The day features parades and military displays in New Delhi and at army bases across the country.

On the acting front, Sunny Deol will next appear in 'Border 2', alongside Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty. Directed by Anurag Singh, this film is a sequel to the 1997 epic war movie 'Border', which depicted the Battle of Longewala during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The original film was directed by J.P. Dutta and featured a star-studded cast including Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, and Akshaye Khanna.

'Border 2' is produced by a strong team that includes Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in collaboration with J.P. Films, and directed by Anurag Singh. The sequel aims to continue the legacy of the original film while offering an exciting cinematic experience. 'Border 2' is expected to be based on the 1999 Kargil War, which started when Pakistani troops crossed the Line of Control and occupied parts of Indian territory in the Kargil district.
