Sunny Kaushal: Vicky and I used to fight over the most ridiculous things
Sibling rivalries are as old as time, and even Bollywood’s beloved Kaushal brothers weren’t immune. Sunny Kaushal, who shares a close bond with his brother, Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal, recently opened up about their childhood spats - from epic TV remote fights to full-blown wardrobe wars.
“We used to fight over the most ridiculous things, like who gets the TV remote,” he recalled. The situation got so intense that their mother had to step in with a clever solution. “It got to a point where mom had to set a schedule: Vicky gets to watch what he wants at a certain time, I get my turn later, and in between, we both had to watch each other’s picks, together. That was her way of making sure we didn’t drift apart and spent time together.”
Clothes were another constant battlefield. “We’re just over a year apart, so growing up, we were almost the same size, our T-shirts, jeans, everything would fit both of us. The rule was that we could borrow each other’s clothes, but only if we asked first,” Sunny said. “Of course, we’d often break that rule just to mess with each other, and wear something without asking, and that would lead to a full-blown argument.”
With a smile, he summed it up perfectly: “So yeah, remote wars and wardrobe battles were a big part of our childhood!”
When asked if the brothers still fight, Sunny laughed and said, “Not really, of late, we haven’t actually. Hum thode bade ho gayein hain you know! So, honestly, not anymore, we’ve grown up now! I can’t even remember the last time we argued.”
From bickering over TV time to now cheering each other on in their respective careers, the Kaushal brothers have clearly come a long way, proving that some of the strongest bonds are built through the most ridiculous fights.
