Swapnil Kusale wins bronze at Olympics: Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty and other Bollywood celebs congratulate him

Shooter Swapnil Kusale has won a bronze medal in the men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions at the Paris Olympics 2024. This remarkable achievement has added to India's growing medal tally at the ongoing games.

His outstanding performance on the international stage has garnered widespread acclaim. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Kusale, praising his dedication and skill. Additionally, numerous Bollywood celebrities took to social media to turn cheer leader for the shooter. Everyone from Kareena Kapoor Khan to Sidharth Malhotra, and Kiara Advani, among others, extended heartfelt words of congratulations on the big win.

Kareena Kapoor Khan posted about Swapnil Kusale’s achievement on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Congratulations @swapnil_kusale,” along with clap emojis and the Indian flag.

Sidharth Malhotra mentioned, “@swapnil_kusale, you’ve made India proud! Congratulations on adding another medal to the bag! #Paris2024 @olympics @weareteamindia.” His wife, Kiara Advani, also said, “Congratulations.”

Kusale also became the first Indian shooter to win an Olympic medal in the Men's 50m 3 Position event. It was also the third shooting medal in the rifle event after Abhinav Bindra's gold in the 10m air rifle in the Beijing Olympics 2008 and Gagan Narang's bronze in the same event in the London Olympics 2012.

Kusale shot a score of 451.4, to finish behind China's Yukun Liu (gold) and Ukraine's Serhiy Kulish (silver). He had ended seventh in the qualification round with a total score of 590.
