The Kiki Challenge has a worthy successor in the form of the Bottle Cap Challenge that has gone viral. It was literally kick started by taekwondo instructor and fighter Farabi Davletchin on Instagram. It was then picked up by

, (a Polynesian American mixed martial artist), who has also been credited for its popularity. It sees participants attempting to unscrew a cap from a bottle with their foot in the middle of a kick —without knocking the bottle down. Holloway challenged singer John Mayer this weekend, who kicked it off in style, and then passed it on to action star Jason Statham, who passed the test with flying colours. Statham then went on to challenge director Guy Ritchie. Akshay Kumar became the first Bollywood actor to take up this challenge and he revealed that he has taken the inspiration from Jason. In the video shared by Akshay, the actor can be seen flawlessly pulling it off. He shared it stating, “I
couldn’t resist #BottleCapChallenge Inspired by my action idol JasonStatham, I will repost/retweet the Best I see, come on Guys and Girls get your Bottle out and your Legs in the Air, Let’s Do This (sic)”.
Riteish Deshmukh too wanted to join in the fun from the sidelines, so he shared a post on social media. Sharing the video Akshay Kumar
posted, where he could be seen nailing the challenge, Riteish joked that it’s him who has completed the challenge wearing Akshay’s mask. His caption read, “I couldn’t resist either! That’s my #bottlecapchallange with an Akshay Kumar mask... Beware, he may claim it’s him... As a good friend I will allow him that much! My next challenge video is with a Tiger Shroff mask...”

The challenge that was not meant to be
Actor Ryan Reynolds also tried it, but unfortunately for him, it didn't quite go as planned. In the video on his social media page, Ryan attempts it however, the bottle went flying, forcing Ryan to make a quick exit. We can’t wait to see who caps this one, next!
