‘The international films being screened at IFFI are the most anticipated films’

IFFI 2021 has lined up screenings of big international films and festival favourites
The International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which is starting today, has lined up screenings of some of the most talked about international films of the year. Cine buffs will be able to watch some of the biggest studio films, festival favourites, and upcoming movies.

Among the biggest films heading to IFFI this year will be Kristen Stewart’s Spencer and there are also several Cannes winners – Julia Ducournau’s Titane was Palme d’Or winner at Cannes, Compartment No.6 won Grand Prix, and Joachim Trier’s Worst Person In The World got Renate Reinsve Best Actress, while Omar El Zohairy’s Feathers was Grand Prize winner at the International Critics Week at Cannes.


An official from the festival said, “We have around 12 world premieres, five international premieres, and around 24 Asia premieres. The films which we have selected to be screened at IFFI are the most anticipated films of this year.” There are also some films which have been submitted to Oscars 2022 for Best International Feature – like Egypt’s Souad.
