Vivek Agnihotri's latest release, 'The Vaccine War', received mixed reviews from the audience. The film opened to low numbers on September 28 and continues to underperform at the ticket window. It is made on a budget of Rs 10 crore. However, it is struggling to cross even that at the box office.

'The Vaccine War' features Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi, who hardly collected any money on October 4. It pays tribute to the dedication of the medical fraternity and scientists during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film talks about the struggle of Indian scientists behind the development of vaccines and also unfolds many stories that went unnoticed.

The film opened on September 28 with just Rs 1.3 crore. It was released alongside 'Fukrey 3' and Kangana Ranaut's 'Chandramukhi 2'. According to Sacnilk, 'The Vaccine War' saw another drop on October 4 and minted Rs 50 lakh. Hence, the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 8.15 crore.

'The Vaccine War' features Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles. Produced by Pallavi Joshi and I Am Buddha, it was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on September 28. It shows certain chapters about Indian bioscientists and indigenous vaccines. The film pays tribute to the dedication of the medical fraternity and scientists during COVID-19. It tells the story of the evolution of the vaccine Covaxin during the COVID-19 pandemic. The movie is marketed as 'India's first bio-science film.
