This fun picture of Sonakshi Sinha teasing Alia Bhatt is winning hearts
Who says actresses cannot be friends with each other? One look at this picture of Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha is enough to nix any such thoughts in the head. The two are seen having a fun moment, where Sonakshi is clearly ribbing the petite actress about something, making her break out into giggles. This quintessential girl-bonding moment was captured at the red carpet of Filmfare #GlamourAndStyleAwards and is now going viral. Star-kids both, the two have worked together in the multistarrer, 'Kalank'. The camaraderie between the two was quite evident during the promotions as they twinned in similar styles or put up a funny musical act on a reality show. Sona (as she is fondly called in the industry) makes no bones about her admiration for Alia in her interviews and has often called her one of the most talented actresses today.
While the film has come and gone without creating a ripple at the box-office, the two continue to keep in touch. When Sona announced the 'Bid for Good' initiative, where she collaborated with a NGO to help raise funds to help daily wage workers during the lockdown, one of the first persons from among the celebs to support her was Alia. She tweeted: "So proud of you @sonakshisinha! Guys, support the cause, bid for good!" However, Alia is not the only one she gets along with. Given the ease with which Sona interacts with her frat could well earn her the tag of Ms Congeniality in Bollywood - right from Khans to Kareena Kapoor Khan and the new generation of star kids.
However, even the Miss Congeniality(s) of the world can have their rage-days. Slamming people for their behaviour following actor Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely death, she tweeted : "Some people can be disgusting and will always be." Without naming anyone, she posted a statement on her social media accounts: "The problem with wrestling with pigs is that you get dirty and the pig enjoys it. To certain people trying to garner publicity and highlight THEIR issues using the death of a member of our fraternity... PLEASE just stop. Your spewing negativity, hate and toxicity is really not required right now. Have some respect for the departed. Really." Now who's she referring to? Given the numerous statements after the tragedy, your guess is as good as ours!
