This is how SOON Sonakshi Sinha confessed her feelings to now husband Zaheer Iqbal, 'I was very excited....'

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who tied the knot earlier this year, are one of the most fun-loving, yet down-to-earth celebs in tinsel town. Having dated each other for almost 7 years, the duo tied the knot in a simple ceremony attended by only close friends and family.


Recently, on Kareena Kapoor's chat show, 'What Women Want', Sonakshi opened up on her love story and revealed how quickly she fell in love with her now husband. She said, “Maine Zaheer ko ek hafte mein hi bol diya tha ki I love you. I was very excited. There was some recognition, koi click hota hai na jab aap jaante ho ki ye aapka hi insaan hai and this is your person. That sort of happened with me, and it never happened with me before. I always used to take my time, but with him, it was instant."

She added, “Ladko ko thoda time bhi lagta hai. He is one of those boys jo apna time lagaate hai. Wo bhi ek stage pe tha jahan par usko pata tha agar main padunga ismein toh ye permanent hi hoga. Isliye he took his time."

Recently, The Great Indian Kapil Show welcomed the couple Sonakshi Sinha and husband Zahir Iqbal, accompanied by her parents- Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha. The episode kicked off on a hilariously high note as Kapil dives straight into the juicy details of Sonakshi and Zahir's wedding escapades. From playful interrogations to Kapil’s trademark witty banter, the couple spills the beans on the nerve-wracking moment they broke the news to the legendary Shatrughan Sinha.

Looking back to when they approached Shatrughan Sinha, Zahir Iqbal explains to Kapil, “Ek-Do baar jab mai gaya hun, 6-8 bodyguard khade rehte hai saath mein, toh iska haath kaise maangu?”

To it, Sonakshi adds, “Phir usne mujhe bola ki I think waqt aa gaya hai, bata hi do, toh maine bola, theek hai tum bata do” Zahir defends himself saying, “Mai kyu batau, meine apne daddy ko bata diya hai, tum apne daddy ko batao”

Sonakshi chuckles and adds “Baat toh sahi hai, toh mai chali gayi, aur meine unhe bata diya, aur paapa khush, hum khush, everybody khush!”


(Looking back to when they approached Shatrughan Sinha, Zahir Iqbal explains to Kapil, "A couple of times when I visited them, 6-8 bodyguards stood around, how was it possible to ask for her hand in marriage then?” Zahir then told Sonakshi “I think we are ready to talk to the parents”, to which she replied “Yeah, so speak to them”. Zahir re-iterated and said, “Why should I speak to them? I have spoken to my Father, you should speak to yours.")

Sonakshi admittedly said “he had a point, so I went to my father and spoke to him, and he was happy so everyone was happy.”)
