This is what Siddhanth Kapoor feels about playing Shakti Kapoor’s role in ‘Satte Pe Satta’ remake

Bollywood has seen a lot of old hits being remade in recent years. And talking about remakes, there is a lot of buzz around Farah Khan’s remake of the 1982 superhit, ‘Satte Pe Satta’.

The original movie, directed by Raj N Sippy, featured Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in the lead. It had six actors — Shakti Kapoor, Sachin, Paintal, Sudhir, Inderjeet and Kanwaljeet Singh — playing Big B’s brothers. While the cast of the remake is yet to be finalised, there are strong speculations that Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone will topline the movie.

Meanwhile, rumours are also strong about who will play the six brothers. Not surprisingly, Shakti Kapoor has said that he would like his son Siddhanth to play his role in the remake. Siddhanth, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Shootout at Wadala’ (2013), has acted in movies like ‘Haseena Parkar’ and ‘Paltan’. Needless to say, the young actor is keen to get into his father’s shoes.

Talking to a daily, Siddhanth said that he would love to play the role that his father played. However, he added that he can’t join the film just because he wants to; he should also suit the role.
