Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding at the Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como in Italy captured the hearts of fans, and now the buzz has shifted to the couple starting a family. While the couple awaits the addition of a new family member later this year, here's a throwback from when DP spoke about motherhood.
In an interview with express.co.uk in 2019, Deepika stated that having kids was a significant milestone and stated, "It will happen when it has to happen. Motherhood trumps being married. That's what I hear from people who have had children. Of course, it will happen at some point but no, I think it is unfair to put women through that, to put a couple through that. I guess the day we stop asking the questions is when we will bring about change."
Deepika and Ranveer apparently started dating in 2012 and got engaged in 2015. The couple kept their engagement a secret from the world for three years and got hitched in 2018.
On the work front, Deepika's latest appearance was in the movie 'Fighter' alongside Hrithik Roshan. Her upcoming projects include Nag Ashwin’s futuristic film 'Kalki 2989 AD', where she shares the screen with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Hassan. Additionally, she is set to star in Rohit Shetty's eagerly anticipated 'Singham Again', which also stars Ranveer Singh.
