Throwback: When Janhvi Kapoor revealed that Sridevi never trusted her judgment in men

Jahnvi Kapoor has often revealed that she shared a very close bond with her mother Sridevi. There was nothing like a secret between the two. Even in an old interview, Janhvi revealed how she used to discuss her wedding plans with Sridevi.

In a 2019 interview with Brides Today, when Janhvi was asked if she discussed her wedding plans with Sridevi, she replied "Yes, and she would say that she doesn’t trust my judgment in guys, that she will choose someone for me. Because I love very easily."

The actress also revealed the type of wedding she wanted. She said that she wanted an intimate wedding consisting only of family and extremely close friends. She added that she wanted to get married in Tirupati and she will be wearing a Kanjeevaram saree. Revealing about the food she said that she wants a full ‘dawat’ (feast) consisting of her favorite South Indian delicacies - idli, sambar, curd, rice, and kheer.


Janhvi reminisced about her mother’s protective nature and guidance. Sridevi's involvement in her life extended beyond just wedding plans; she was Janhvi's confidante in many aspects of life. The bond they shared was not just of mother and daughter but also that of best friends, making Sridevi’s untimely demise a profound loss for Janhvi.

Coming to Janhvi’s professional life, she has had a rollercoaster ride in the industry already. She debuted in ‘Dhadak’ alongside Ishaan Khattar.
