Kareena Kapoor Khan recently marked 25 years in Indian cinema. Over two decades of her career, she has been known for iconic performances in films such as ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum’, ‘Omkara’, ‘Heroine’, ‘Bodyguard’, and ‘RaOne’, solidifying her status as one of Bollywood's most beloved stars. There was a special evening organised marking Kareena's journey in the industry recently, where she candidly confessed that it was not just her talent that made her successful, but also because of the amazing co-stars she's had over the years.

Kareena spoke of collaboration as the key to fine cinema during a press meet. The actress said that much of her success in films is courtesy of co-actors and one feeds off the energy each other gives. She especially pointed out how, in great films such as ‘Jab We Met’-with Shahid Kapoor-and ‘Omkara ', she and her fellow actors had always carried the energy that made those films really great. She said, "I have to credit a lot of my films to my co-actors. Actors bounce off each other’s energies. In great films like Jab We Met (co-starring Shahid Kapoor) and Omkara, we’ve always bounced off each other’s energies."

Kareena thanked all her co-artists, saying that contributions from them were very important for any of her films to be successful. She added, “Whether it was Aamir (Khan) in 3 Idiots, you also need to take from them. So I also want to take this opportunity to thank all my actors in all these wonderful films. Without them, none of these films would be what they are, whether it’s Jab We Met, Omkara, or Asoka (co-starring Shah Rukh Khan)."

The actress marked her remarkable journey, taking time to reflect on the meaningful connections she has shared with fellow actors and how they have enriched her career.

Recently, Kareena swept everyone off their feet with ‘The Buckingham Murders’, a Hansal Mehta directorial that cast her in a challenging, ungainly role. She played a bereaved detective investigating a murder whose story brings forth painful memories of her own in the past, and Kareena's performance has been welcomed for its depth and nuance.

The legacy of Kareena is celebrating 25 years, and one can tell how gratitude towards co-stars and the collaborative spirit of filmmaking has largely shaped her career.
