Triptii Dimri gears up for 'Dhadak 2' release, Expresses eagerness for Vishal Bhardwaj’s next and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 'Spirit'

Triptii Dimri is gearing up for the release of her upcoming romantic drama 'Dhadak 2', where she stars alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film is set to release in theatres this August, and both actors are currently busy with promotions.

In a recent interview, Triptii spoke about her excitement for 'Dhadak 2' and also shared her experience of working with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga in Spirit. Notably, she has replaced Deepika Padukone in the film.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Triptii spoke about her journey in the film industry so far. She said that working on a variety of roles across different genres has helped her grow as an actor. Triptii also shared that collaborating with some of the most respected directors in the industry has been a valuable experience, as each one brings a unique creative vision that she has learned a lot from. “Yeah, it’s good to work with different directors, because you learn so much. Every filmmaker brings their own sensibility, their own energy to a project, and that automatically pushes you to adapt and grow. I’ve just been working with Vishal, and that film is also going to come out soon, so I’m quite excited about that. After that, of course, comes Mr. Vanga’s Spirit, and I’m really excited about it."

While the details of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film are still being kept under wraps, Triptii shared her excitement about the project and said: “It’s a beautiful film."

'Spirit' marks the first on-screen pairing of Prabhas and Triptii. It will also be Triptii’s second collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and producers Bhushan Kumar and Pranay Reddy Vanga, following their work together on Animal. Produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, the film features Prabhas in the role of a fierce police officer and is expected to begin shooting in 2025.

'Dhadak 2', starring Triptii Dimri, explores powerful themes like casteism, identity, and the emotional struggles of forbidden love. Unlike typical Bollywood love stories, the film takes a more serious and realistic approach, highlighting the deep impact of social discrimination and power imbalances.

Triptii’s character is emotionally intense and reflects the real-life challenges many people face, offering the audience a thoughtful and grounded cinematic experience. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra, and Pragati Deshmukh. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, 'Dhadak 2' is set to release in theatres on August 1.
