'Udta Punjab' keeps its date with the audience

The film is bound to release on its scheduled date ' June 17
There was finally some respite for the makers of

Udta Punjab

after the

Bombay High Court

passed the movie with only one cut, as compared to the earlier ones asked for by the Central Board of Film Certification. With the film releasing on its scheduled date ' June 17 ' it's not only a victory for the team but also for the entire industry.


The team, which was waiting with bated breath, jumped into action soon after the verdict was out on Monday evening. With less than one day to go for its release, the entire crew ' right from director Abhishek Chaubey to the technicians, distributors, marketing teams and exhibitors ' is working round the clock to ensure that the print reaches all theatres on time. The Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh-starrer has generated a lot of buzz due to the Censor controversy and the makers are relieved that the film will finally keep its date with the audience.
