Amid this moment of collective grief, the makers of ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, starring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur, have decided to postpone the unveiling of the film’s first look.

Makers issue statement

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the producers announced their decision to delay the reveal by a day as a mark of respect. Their statement read, “With the passing of legendary Asha Bhosle ji, we pause to remember a voice that shaped generations of music and emotion. As a mark of respect, we will now be releasing the first look of ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ tomorrow instead of today, keeping her fans and family in our prayers. May her soul rest in peace (sic).” The note also added, “A voice that will live on forever in our hearts.”

Chand Mera Dil’ team also postpones release

Earlier, the team behind ‘Chand Mera Dil’ had similarly pushed the release of its title track. Dharma Productions shared, “In honour of a legacy that has shaped generations, and with deep respect for the passing of the legendary Asha Bhosle, we are pushing the release of the ‘Chand Mera Dil’ title track by a day.”The statement further read, “This decision has been made as a mark of heartfelt respect and remembrance for Asha Bhosle, whose lasting impact on music continues to inspire generations.”
Asha Bhosle passed away in Mumbai at the age of 92, with doctors at Breach Candy Hospital confirming multi-organ failure as the cause. Her demise has led to an outpouring of grief from across the film and music fraternity, with many remembering her as one of the most defining voices in Indian cinema.
