Taking to his Instagram, Vicky shared a photo of Sam Mankeshaw to honour him on his 110th birth anniversary. He wrote, "Remembering the legend on his 110th birth anniversary, Sam Bahadur."
For the unverse, Born into a Parsi family in Amritsar, Punjab, on April 3, 1914, Sam Manekshaw was the son of Hilla (née Mehta) and Hormizd Manekshaw, who worked as a doctor. Manekshaw is revered as a national hero, having bravely fought in five major wars.
Many aspiring to serve India admire and look up to his legacy. He played a pivotal role as the Chief of the Army Staff during the crucial 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. He also holds the distinction of being the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.
It also starred Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sanya Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles.
