Vicky Kaushal got noticed for his role in 'Masaan' in 2015 after starting his career as an assistant to the director in 2012 with 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. He became well-known with movies like 'Raazi', 'Lust Stories', 'Sanju', 'Manmarziyaan', and 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'. Recently, he starred in 'Sardar Udham', 'Sam Bahadur', and 'Dunki'.

Today, Vicky took to his social media handle and shared a still from the film 'Masaan' as it completed nine years. In the film, he portrays a young man who is dealing with the grief of losing his father and struggling to move on from a personal tragedy. His story explores themes of loss, redemption, and the search for meaning. Sharing the photo, he captioned, "9 years. Thank you, @neeraj.ghaywan.".



'Masaan' shows the burning ghats of Varanasi and the lost dignity of a girl, played by Richa Chadha, whose only crime was a premarital affair. It explores themes of oppression and suppressed emotions against the backdrop of Varanasi.

Vicky Kaushal is now promoting his latest film, 'Bad Newz', where he stars alongside Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. The film's song 'Tauba Tauba' has become a hit and is trending on social media. Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz was released on July 19, 2024.

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal will also star in the highly anticipated historical drama 'Chhava', directed by Laxman Utekar. The film features Rashmika Mandanna as the lead heroine opposite him.
