The biopic on
Rakesh Sharma's life - 'Saare Jahan Se Achcha' has been in the news ever since it was announced. First
Aamir Khan was roped in to play the titular role until he decided to walk out of the film one day citing another ambitious film in the making. Later, he recommended the film to
Shah Rukh Khan who excitedly took it up and even expressed his excitement on being offered to play a role like this as he was quoted saying, "I thank Aamir, who was to do the film for calling me and telling me about the role as it would suit me." However, a few reports said that SRK too is reconsidering his decision about doing the film, after his debacle with 'Zero' and that he wants to be extra cautious before finalising his next film.
Now Bollywood Hungama reports that the makers of Rakesh Sharma biopic have approached
Vicky Kaushal to step into SRK's shoes. Although there's no official confirmation on the same, but according to reports, the makers seem convinced that Vicky will do full justice to the role of Rakesh Sharma, if not SRK.

Anjum Rajabali
was asked about SRK's withdrawal from the film, he rubbished the rumours by calling them fake.
