Vicky Kaushal just delivered a sleeper hit with Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and is known for his chops through films like Masaan, Sardar Udham and Uri - The Surgical Strike. But the actor shared that he doesn’t feel like a star even after giving successful films.

Talking about it in an interview, Vicky revealed that he’s not chasing stardom. He mentioned that today’s accessibility is such that a person is a star only till he or she is in the news. A real star has to have longevity like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan. He added that earlier in Bollywood, stardom came after decades of hard work and that fame was for life. Today stardom is easily attainable like instant coffee, one can even buy followers, fans and verifications. Today’s stardom is like fast food. He also highlighted that he’s grateful for the love he receives from his audience but he doesn't feel like a star.

Vicky will next be seen in Sam Bahadur, a film on the 1971 war hero Sam Manekshaw. For this he teams up with Raazi director Meghna Gulzar. He will share screen with Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh in the film. He will also be seen in Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu and also has Chhawa lined up with Laxman Utekar.
