Vidya Balan recently made headlines after a video of her making an appearance at the airport with a young girl went viral on social media. It all started when a paparazzi account posted the video and captioned it 'Vidya Balan with cute daughter'.

The video sent her fans in a tizzy. Some internet users also showered praise on the actress for being able to keep her ‘daughter’ a ‘secret’ in this age of social media.



Now, in a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, Vidya has lent clarification about the same. The actress revealed that the little girl she was spotted and snapped with was not her daughter but her niece. She was her sister's daughter Ira. She has twins: A boy Ruhaan and a girl Ira. The actor has always been vocal about her love for them, and calls them her 'twin lifelines'.



Vidya Balan, who made her grand Bollywood debut in 2005, has consistently delivered remarkable performances throughout her career. In recognition of her significant contributions to the film industry, the Government of India bestowed upon her the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2014, adding another accolade to her illustrious journey in the world of cinema.

On the work front, Vidya Balan was last seen in the film 'Neeyat,' portraying the role of a CBI officer who finds herself in a wealthy man's private bungalow. When the head of the household unexpectedly passes away, Balan's character embarks on a mission to uncover the truth. Her upcoming project is the film titled 'Lovers,' in which she will share the screen with actors Ileana D'Cruz and Pratik Gandhi.
