Talking about the sequence, Srijit reveals that it won't be a dream sequence and some portions of it will be shot in a few days. Reportedly, Rick Roy has designed the costumes for the sequence and he spent weeks researching on the subject as all the three characters belong to different time periods. Srijit also said that Vidya has been doing her preparations fabulously for the role and has refused to use a body double for the same.

'Begum Jaan' is about the lives of 11 women living in a brothel that gets divided by the newly chalked Line of Control, with half of the house in India and the other half in Pakistan post the Partition.
