Vidya donates Rs 10 lakh to Bengali technicians
She began her film career with the Bengali film BhaloTheka.Her Bollywood debut Parineeta was based on a popular Bengali novel. Her recent success Kahaani had Kolkata written all over it.
Because of this strong connect with all things Bengali, Vidya Balan, on a trip to the City of Joy in the thick of Durga Puja festivities, made a generous contribution of Rs 10 lakh to the Eastern India Cinetel WelfareTrust toward Bengali technicians.
The actress, whose next release is Ghanchakkar, was present at the inauguration of the Shree Bhumi Sporting Club Durga Puja Pandal, voluntarily approached the organisers and made her contribution .
