Vihaan Kohli, son of producer duo Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli, stepped into production responsibilities with Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! Fun on the Run, the film adaptation of the popular sitcom. The film stars Ravi Kishan, Shubhangi Atre, Aasif Sheikh, Vidisha Srivastava and Rohitashv Gour, among others, and was mounted on a tight schedule and a modest budget, making efficiency a crucial part of the filmmaking process. Vihaan explains that the pace of execution never came at the cost of visual appeal. He says, “The Bhabiji film was shot in under 20 days, and nowhere does it look like a 20-day film. We were at a new location every single day. We shot in the valleys of Dehradun, had road chase sequences, beautiful cafés, hotels, and even a large mansion. It was made on a very modest budget, but visually it looks like a 40–50 crore film.”

Looking back at the production journey, he shares that the team was well-prepared and confident going into the shoot. Referring to the unpredictability of outdoor schedules, he says, “Until the shoot began, everything was a breeze because we understood the DNA of the show and production very well.
We also had a fantastic team across departments. But some circumstances are simply beyond your control.”

One of the toughest setbacks came early on, when weather disruptions forced a complete halt. He recalls, “On the second day of the shoot, I woke up to a video call from my executive producer. We were supposed to shoot an interval sequence, but the rain was so heavy that visibility was barely three feet. Everything was flooded, and the shoot had to be called off. There were around 200 to 250 crew members just sitting idle. That was one of our worst days, especially because it happened on day two.The very next day brought another challenge, this time a near-miss that could have turned serious. He says, “On the third day, we were shooting in a forest where all the trees were dead. Ravi Kishan ji was sitting with the artists when a large log suddenly fell and scraped his arm. If it had fallen slightly to the left or right, something very unfortunate could have happened. I’m extremely grateful to God that it didn’t.” Despite losing precious time in an already compressed schedule, Vihaan credits the collective resolve of the unit to ensure the film stays on track. “We were already making the film in under 20 days, so losing even one day was a big deal. But the entire team came together. We sacrificed one of the breaks, and everyone wanted to continue and finish the film. I’m deeply grateful to all the technicians and crew for their commitment,” he says.
