Virat Kohli revealed he was in tears while speaking to Anushka Sharma after scoring a century: "Iske liye ro raha tha do saal se"

Virat had shared an emotional moment with Anushka Sharma, after scoring a century during the 2022 Asia Cup. This milestone not only marked his first T20 century, but also brought forth a valuable life lesson he hopes to impart to their daughter, Vamika.
In a conversation with Jatin Sapru, Kohli reflected on the significance of this huge achievement. The century, which came against Afghanistan in 2022, ended a two-year drought for the cricketer without a ton in international cricket. As he approached the score of 94, Kohli felt a mix of anticipation and disbelief, realizing that he was close to achieving what had eluded him for so long. A six later, and he had finally reached the coveted hundred.

The moment was surreal for Kohli. He described how, upon reaching the milestone, he found himself laughing at the culmination of two years of hard work and longing. “But the moment I got there, I laughed so hard. Iske liye ro raha tha do saal se,” he recalled, emphasizing the emotional release that followed the achievement.

Despite the joy of scoring a century, Kohli acknowledged its fleeting nature. The happiness was momentary, and life swiftly moved on. He recognized that such moments cannot be paused or held onto indefinitely. When he shared his experience with Anushka, the weight of his journey hit him anew, leading him to tears. “When I spoke to Anushka, I was in tears,” he admitted.
Kohli also discussed a vital life lesson from his sporting career that he intends to pass on to Vamika: the importance of intent. He believes that as long as one works hard with genuine intentions, success will naturally follow. For him, intent forms the bedrock of achievement across various fields.

On the work front, Anushka Sharma has been on hiatus from acting since her last film 'Zero', where she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. However, she was set to make her return in 'Chakda Xpress', a biopic centered on cricketer Jhulan Goswami but there are no updates on the project.
