Vishal Jethwa opens up on the political movie business: The PR game is quite strong here

After his stint in Mardaani 2, Vishal Jethwa says he is currently flooded with work. The actor got rave reviews for his performance in the movie from critics and masses alike. “I have really worked hard on myself for that movie. And since then, I have been getting nice responses from the fraternity. People now consider me a versatile actor and I always wanted to be known as one. I have always tried exploring and experimenting with my characters, so I am happy with my journey,” Vishal states.

Vishal Jethwa, who has worked across mediums – TV, cinema and the web – shares his experience on working across these platforms. The actor, who was last seen in Tiger 3 and is currently shooting for a couple of web shows, says, “TV and movie businesses work very differently. Even the performances that actors deliver are different as the requirements of the mediums are different. But I am learning and trying to adjust.”

Vishal, who has featured in TV shows like Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap and Diya Aur Baati Hum, was also noticed for his performance as an antagonist in Mardaani 2 headlined by Rani Mukerji. He adds, “It has not been easy for me... it was easier when I was doing television. In movies, the PR game is quite strong, then marketing is an important thing and there can also be a little politics involved in all of this. There are a lot of things which I do not wish to talk about openly. But in TV, the channels were the boss.
