Wamiqa Gabbi recalls hilarious first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan on sets of Baby John: 'My brother was suggesting I cut my wrist...'

Wamiqa Gabbi, who is busy promoting her upcoming film Bhool Chuk Maaf, recently recalled meeting Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. She revealed that her brother jokingly told her to slit her wrist to get his attention—a shocking suggestion that left everyone speechless.

In a recent interview with Mashable India, Wamiqa Gabbi fondly recalled her first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Baby John. She shared how SRK made a special appearance on the Mahurat day, warmly greeting everyone present on set.



Wamiqa shared that she was standing behind a few people when Shah Rukh Khan arrived, so he couldn’t see her clearly. Afterward, her brother jokingly gave her the bizarre advice to slit her wrist just to get SRK’s attention.

When Shah Rukh Khan finally approached and greeted her, Wamiqa boldly mentioned her brother’s bizarre suggestion aloud. The entire crew, including SRK, fell into stunned silence. Feeling embarrassed, she quickly thanked him and moved on.



On the work front, Bhool Chuk Maaf is slated to release in theaters on May 23, 2025. The nearly three-minute trailer offers a sneak peek into the story of Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s characters, Ranjan and Titli. Titli’s father sets a tough condition for their marriage: Ranjan must land a government job within two months to earn his approval.

The film’s star-studded cast also features Sanjay Mishra, Seema Pahwa, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, Ishtiyak Khan, and Anubha Fatehpuria. Bhool Chuk Maaf is directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan.
