took to social media to announce that he too has tested positive for the infection.

Madhavan has been shooting in Bhopal since the last few weeks for a film called Amriki Pandit. Despite strict safety measures on the sets, he caught the infection. The same came to light due to regular testing conducted for the team. The actor had earlier posted a video on Instagram where he had written that he is shooting in Bhopal for Amriki Pandit while taking all necessary precautions.

The team of actors he was shooting with included Sushmita Mukherjee, Manju Warrier and Godaan Kumar. However, sources share that none of them have caught the virus.

We reached out to the producer Anil Mulchandani to know the status of the shoot and he shared, “The shooting hasn’t stopped because everyone else is safe and okay. We are shooting the rest of the scenes where Madhavan is not involved. We hope he recovers soon amd joins resumes shooting in a couple of weeks." While there have been reports that Madhavan is in quarantine at his home in Mumbai, some people have suggested that he is quarantining in Bhopal itself. When asked about the same, Mulchandani didn't comment on the same.

The cast and the crew of the movie have shot at various places in Bhopal, including Shaukat Mahal and the Bhopal Smart City office in Govindpura.

Soon after Madhavan's post, fans and well-wishers have been sending 'Get well soon' messages to the actor online.
