When Amitabh Bachchan teased Rishi Kapoor about his co-star Dimple Kapadia during 'Bobby' shoot; she called herself 'a star'

Dimple Kapadia made her debut with Rishi Kapoor in 'Bobby' and while that was her debut movie, the actress' attitude was always like a star, even as a newcomer. Case in point, Dimple arrived on the sets of 'Bobby' in a big car. Infact, it was a better car than the one Amitabh Bachchan used at that point. Once, Rishi Kapoor had recalled this memory and said that Big B was travelling in a fiat that time when he used to shoot for 'Bombay To Goa' and that was also 'tooti footi'.

Rishi Kapoor had said during a chat with, “When we were working for the film, Dimple used to come in a huge imported car. Around the same time, Amitabh Bachchan was shooting for Bombay To Goa on the adjacent floor. And we had just met, so he used to say, ‘Your heroine comes in a huge car.’ Those days, Amit ji used to come in a fiat and we also had a tooti footi fiat."

The 'Chandni' actor further revealed Dimple's reaction when they used to rag her about it. He said, "We used to rag Dimple. And she used to tell us, ‘I am Raj Kapoor’s heroine, I am a star. If the film becomes hit, I am a star and even if not, I am still a star. I travel in a huge car.’ Now that I look back, I think she was right, she is a star."

For those not in the know, Rishi and Dimple were even rumoured to be dating during 'Bobby'. She later married Rajesh Khanna. Rishi and Dimple re-united for a movie after many years again in 'Saagar'.
