When Dharmendra advised Shatrughan Sinha to drink a little before a shoot when he was nervous to do a dance song: 'I didn't know what to do'
Veteran stars Dharmendra and Shatrughan Sinha have long shared a warm camaraderie, a bond that was evident yet again when Sinha dropped by to check on Dharmendra’s health just a day ago. Over the years, Sinha has never missed a chance to speak affectionately about their friendship. In fact, during an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, when the two appeared together, he narrated a funny incident involving the 'He-Man' Dharmendra, as he is fondly refered to in the industry.

Reminiscing about his early days, Sinha said, “My first song was to be shot publicly. It was ‘Shor Mach Gaya Shor,’ and I was very nervous. I had never danced in front of an audience before, and when the shooting started, thousands had gathered. I didn’t know what to do. I went to our elder brother Dharmendra and said, ‘Please tell me how to do this. I can’t do it. How did you perform your own song Rafta Rafta?’"
Sinha went on to add, “He told me, ‘Just do what I did.’ I asked him, ‘What did you do?’ and he said, ‘Just drink a little.’" The mischievous advice had both of them bursting into laughter. The two actors have teamed up on multiple films since Sinha’s debut in Pyar Hi Pyar. Their on-screen partnership continued through Vijay Anand’s 'Blackmail', the 1988 action entertainer 'Zalzala', and even extended to a cameo by Sinha in 'Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se'.

With fans anxiously seeking updates on Dharmendra’s recovery, Shatrughan Sinha and his wife Poonam Sinha visited Hema Malini to enquire after his health. Following the meeting, Sinha shared photos on X from the visit, captioning them with heartfelt words: “Along with my ‘bestest half’ @PoonamSinha, went to meet, greet & God bless our very dear family friend, one of the finest human beings, star/actress par excellence, artist of the highest calibre, an able Parliamentarian @dreamgirlhema."
Dharmendra, who had been hospitalised after a sudden decline in his health, underwent treatment for several days before being discharged on November 12. His family has now opted to continue his care at home. After he was released from Breach Candy Hospital, Sunny Deol’s team issued a formal statement requesting sensitivity.
The statement from Sunny Deol's team read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you."
