More than a decade after the tragic 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, some stories of kindness shown to victims and their families, continue to surface online. One such heartwarming gesture involves an act of generosity by the late actor Farooq Sheikh.
The star, passed away on December 28, 2013, but his act of generosity still lives on. An The Indian Express report shared a story of Shruti Kamble, a woman who lost her husband, Rajan Kamble, in the attacks at the Taj Hotel. Moved by her story, Farooq decided to support the education of her two young sons. But, he requested that his identity remain anonymous.
For five years, Shruti and her sons had no idea who their benefactor was. As and when the children ran short on funds for their education, Sheikh would promptly send the money and didn't even ask questions about how they spent it.
Sheikh’s secret act of kindness to the family remained a secret until after his death. Speaking to the portal, Shruti said, "While the Taj management has taken care of us, if not for Sheikh sa'ab, my children couldn’t have dreamed of making it so far.
