Himani Shivpuri, who has worked with a lot of stars in Bollywood, once recalled working with Shah Rukh Khan in 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'. In an interview, the veteran actress shared how Khan gave her cues even when he was not part of the scene. She stated that was the reason the scene turned out to be beautiful. Here's what she said.

In an interview with Kovid Gupta Films, Himani Shivpuri talked about the scene from 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' when the saree vendor visits her character's home. In the scene, she tries out the sarees, and SRK's character, Raj, comes near her room and lets her know which one of them is good.


Talking about the same, she stated that her and SRK's shots are "totally separate." The veteran actress added that it included just her and the saree vendor. She further shared that Shah Rukh, at that time, was becoming a huge star and had come from Delhi theater.

She recalled, "I remember Shah Rukh was giving me all the reactions." Himani Shivpuri stated that when he was checking out the sarees, Khan was standing at a distance, even though he had a separate scene. She said, "That's a separate shot, and he gave me all the cues."

The actress expressed, "Where we had, but I won't name the actors, who weren't there to give the cues, and when they gave cues, they gave such idiotic cues that it's better that they don't give the cues."

Himani Shivpuri added that Shah Rukh was this "amazing actor; he was giving all the cues, even when he was not in the scene. So that is why I think that scene has come out so beautiful."

Himani Shivpuri recalls SRK asking her to check the response to the scene in theaters

Meanwhile, in an interview with News 18, the actress stated that SRK asked her if she watched the movie in the theater. She added, "So, I said no. He told me to go and see the response to my scene. 'Crowds clap when you make your entry,' he told me."
