In 2022, when Malaika was involved in a car accident, Arhaan, who was studying in the United States, was particularly distressed as he was not in India with her.

Malaika's car accident in Mumbai in 2022 left everyone concerned for her well-being. Thankfully, she only sustained minor injuries. However, her family, especially her son Arhaan, was extremely worried. Arhaan, studying Cinema in the US, was inconsolable and 'howling on the phone,' desperately wanting to book a ticket to be with his mother. Malaika shared that despite everyone's efforts to calm him down, Arhaan was deeply upset and struggled to believe that she was alright.
